Nancy Sexton
Music
Nancy started her music career in college, where she sang with a few cover bands. Then, when she moved to New York City she formed her first country project called the, Thurstons. She was thrilled to open for recording artist of the year Jimmy Dale Gilmore at the legendary CBGB's club.
Her singer/songwriter career took her to Europe where she switched styles and landed a recording contract (Dance Music) with Time Records. With Time and other labels she has performed and written over 15 singles, for Italy and Japan, five of which went to #1. Her biggest hit was titled, "It's A Real World" which was produced by legendary dj/producer, DJ Molella. Nancy continues to record singles for the Italian dance market.
When Nancy returned back to NYC, she formed another band, simply named, Nancy Sexton. In NYC she has performed at Arlene Grocery, Nightengale, Mercury, CBGB's, Red Lion, and more.
Now in Los Angeles, Nancy has two concurrent projects, Dynamite Beat Puppy (DBP) and Nancy Sexton Trio.
DBP is a full blown rock and roll band, while Nancy Sexton Trio is the stripped down version. Each project mixes original songs with unique covers. She has performed all over Los Angeles, Pasadena and Las Vegas.
